The Signature stamp has a long history, it has been used for around 1,000 to 1,200 years. It is essential to use signature stamps for both individuals and companies but there is an ardent discussion to reconsider its use and quit the long standing Japanese cultural practice due to increasing teleworking with covid-19 pandemic.
